Ballet Dancers On Pointe In Grant Park Atlanta, Georgia

E37 Photography met with a local dance instructor and her students to visit Grant Park in Atlanta, Georgia. The photographer captured image in this historic park among the pathways, entrances, and in front green lawns with trees in the background. The weather was great. The instructor told the photographer that the poses on the lawn would not be attempted because of the early morning moisture on the ground. The day was a little overcast with soft light which made it perfect for the photographer with the exception of some sunlight breaking between the cloud. It was a fun experience.

Rio Sirah hosted a viewing party at the Blue Ivory Lounge in Atlanta to view his debut competition among other body painters are on the reality television series called Skin Wars. Rio also painted a model that night before the viewing her to the audience. He spoke to the audience about his vision besides body painting. The audience had to do without the audio because of technical difficulties but it was a great night to meet and network with people. The Living Art America founders where present where to lend support Rio won a top place  in the LAA Emerging Artist categories for body painters. A diverse group attended where photography was all around the room with photographers. The image here capture Rio speaking to the audience and greeting them for a photographing opportunity.

The next three images show Rio with Living Art America members and friends. One image showed Rio standing near to the television while the Skin Wars television program feature a segmented where painters were question about their art work. This task had competitors to paint model blending into the background. In some case, it was hard to visual separate the painted human body from the painted background.


Carnival Parade in Georgia

Many residents in Georgia can relate their ancestry connections to the Caribbean island. On Memorial weekend, the carnival organizers arranged a parade and festival in Decatur which is a suburb city outside Atlanta, Georgia. On May 23, 2015, the parade started at 1pm and took several hours to finally reach its final destination to a nearby Marta train station which was the carnival location for entertainment. Big trucks with huge speakers blasted continuously with pulsating music from the parking lots to the streets. On this sunny Saturday, the people where ready to party behind each truck. As far as the eyes could see, hundreds of participants wore elaborate and colorful costumes. Different groups wore certain colors to represent of their island countries. Many T-shirts and flags looked mixed colorfully the scenery. This was a haven for photography coverage. By the way there was another Carnival in Atlanta, Georgia happening on this same day.
